MACHINES, PAPER AND MATERIALS, PRINTING PROCESS

Rotocel is equipped with an extensive machine park enabling it to better diversify its productive lines. The company prints self-adhesive labels for a wide range of customers operating in all industrial and commercial sectors, through two main methods: Flexography and Offset printing.
Using either the continuous printing or the roll printing technique, labels are printed on adhesive paper of several sizes (from minimum 5 cm to maximum 42 cm) using electronic machines and last-generation 8-colour computerised control tables, that also allow painting, hot gold and silver printing, plastic-coating and relief printing. Since printing is carried out by means of polymers applied through digital lasers, its quality and definition are greatly enhanced: 54 printed lines compared to 30 obtained with standard polymers!

Rotocel’s machines are nowadays able to print on adhesive paper reels at fairly high speed: minimum 100 metres per minute. Considering an average reel format (about 25 cm), daily production comes to more than 18,000 sqm. Rotocel utilises special self-adhesive papers, characterised by highly resistant adhesive pigment suitable for all surfaces: glass, metal, plastic, polyethylene, cartons, wooden boxes, etc. These papers are provided by the best paper factories on the market and can be in reels or continuous forms boxes. They are available in many sizes of different length and width.

Several paper typologies are available: Laid (Corolla type), Embossed (Costellation type), Marked (Tintoretto type), Anti-crushing, Wet Resistant, Glossy, PVC, Metallized, Hologrammed, Gold and Silver Foils, etc. Rotocel also uses high-quality inks in order to improve printing results with both Pantone colours and four-colour process.
Added to this, Rotocel is able to satisfy any demand for self-adhesive label printing using techniques like silk-screen printing and relief printing, or on Black and Transparent materials, or in the presence of bar codes, progressive numbering, or with resist.
